You Can Be More

Are you the person you can be?

Well, let me tell you - you absolutely can be more.

There is so much power and untapped potential inside of you. In fact, you may have heard me say, "Exceptional is inside of you, it's a matter of drawing it out."

Here are two suggestions to inspire you to be more:

1) Think about a time when someone helped you realize you could be more. Maybe it was a childhood or highschool teacher, coach, parent, relative, friend or someone who believed in you and saw your potential.

When I was twenty, I was home from college and starting an internship at an international corporation. On the morning of the first day, I was having breakfast with my father. He probably sensed my nervousness. He looked straight at me, then declared lovingly and emphatically, "Stephanie, whatever challenges come your way, you have everything it takes to figure them out."

In that moment, I felt his belief in me. And I've often tapped into that memory and the reassurance, when I know I can be more. What about you? When did someone express their belief in you?

2) Imagine a wiser, more experienced version of you - maybe ten years from now. What advice would your wiser self give your present self about the person you can be?

As Olympic athlete Wilma Rudolph said, "The potential for greatness lives within each of us."
