Want to Achieve Your Goals?

Want to Reach Your Goals? Here’s What It Really Takes

Anyone can want a goal. But wanting isn’t enough. The real question is: Are you willing to do what it takes? Whether it's building a business or climbing the corporate ladder, achieving big and meaningful goals doesn’t happen by accident. It demands:

  • Building new habits
  • Learning new skills
  • Facing rejection and setbacks
  • Navigating uncertainty
  • Staying consistent, even when it’s hard

As Thomas Edison once said:

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

It’s a reminder that the path to success often looks like hard, unglamorous work - work that many shy away from. But it’s precisely in that work - building habits, pushing through rejection and uncertainty, and staying consistent - where real progress is made. Edison knew that while others waited for the perfect moment, those willing to get their hands dirty would create it.

Let’s go back to that real question I asked earlier: Are you willing to do what it takes? Because here’s the truth:

If you’re not willing:
    •    You’ll stay stuck where you are
    •    You’ll give up when it gets hard
    •    You’ll never discover your true potential
    •    You’ll miss the chance to grow into who you’re meant to be

Over the last eleven years of coaching high-achievers - along with my own journey building my corporate career and, more recently, my coaching business - I’ve learned it’s vital to be crystal clear about your goals and then ask yourself:

“Am I 100% committed?”

“Am I willing to do what it takes?”

High-achievers answer with a resounding YES and then they get to work.

Consider Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx - a shapewear clothing company. She came up with the idea for Spanx while she was still working selling copiers door-to-door and started with just $5,000 in savings. She faced rejection and challenges, including manufacturers who told her “no” repeatedly. But she refused to give up. She stayed committed, kept learning, and did what it took. In 2012, Forbes acknowledged Sara as the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire.

As Sara says:

“Don’t be intimidated by what you don’t know. That can be your greatest strength and ensure you do things differently from everyone else.”

Sara’s story is a reminder: When you say YES to doing what it takes, you open the door to your next level.

So here’s your invitation:
