Making The Best of Your Journey

Feb 05, 2024
journey, making the best of your journey, destination

Are you so focused on achieving and getting things done that you forget to enjoy today? And are you making the best of your journey, starting with this moment?

These are important questions because if you don't consciously focus on making the best of the present and learning to be happy on your journey, you might unconsciously be making the worst of it!

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Life is a journey, not a destination."

As you know, I'm a proponent of having goals and a vision of the future you want. Think of the future you want as your "destination." This is essential for having direction and purpose.

And it's helpful to develop clarity around your future self. Identifying your future self informs who you have to become now to have the future you want.

While your vision of the future will inspire you, the key is: who you have to be NOW. Because being fully in the present will help you to have the future you want.

"Being fully present automatically lifts your spirits. Clears your mind of distractions. Brings clarity. Even some joy, if you're open to it," explains Oprah Winfrey.

Be open to making the best of your journey NOW!
