21 Shifts That Tranformed the Way I Live And Work
Apr 29, 202521 Shifts That Tranformed the Way I Live And Work
These aren’t quick fixes. They’re shifts in how I think, choose, and show up: for myself and for others.
Here are 21 that have made the biggest difference in my life:
- Getting a full night’s sleep
- Meditating and exercising daily
- Cutting back on sugar, alcohol, and caffeine
- Focusing on bold, meaningful, "impossible" goals:
- ONE key professional goal and ONE key personal goal (thank you Bob Proctor & Dr. Benjamin Hardy)
- Changing my self-talk to positive (Thank you Louise Hay)
- Focusing on being better: delivering higher value and service
- Making time for solitude: deep thinking, creativity and rest
- Clarifying my personal and professional values
- Getting over myself and showing up (including on social media!)
- Building empathy in relationships and conversations (thank you Chris Voss)
- Learning to be an active listener
- Looking for the good, even in challenges and disappointments
- Staying open and curious instead of resisting change
- Accepting that everyone is equal and on their own journey
- Not judging or trying to “fix” anyone
- Approaching life from love, not fear
- Getting clarity on my future self and living from that vision
- Preparing my day the night before
- Preparing my week every Sunday
- Asking for help and receiving support
- Prioritising personal growth, self-mastery and peace-of-mind
Am I doing these perfectly?
Not even close. But I keep getting better and showing up. And these shifts have changed everything.
If any of these resonate, I hope they serve you too.
